A Vast, Vibrant Retreat Crafted For Every Moment
At this private residence in Utah, home isn’t just where the heart is—it’s where everything happens. Designed as a year-round sanctuary for play, relaxation, and entertaining guests of all ages, this landscape was imagined as a private resort with something for everyone.
This expansive landscape wasn’t just about creating beauty. It was about creating a fully immersive, private escape elegant enough to complement the home’s dramatic architecture, and inviting enough to host spontaneous games, summer events, or quiet sunset walks. Every element was designed to elevate the everyday and create a series of immersive, livable spaces.
From the start, our clients knew they wanted their landscape to match the scale and drama of the home’s architecture. With sharp angles and bold lines defining the structure, our role was to both complement and soften. Beauty with function. Privacy without feeling enclosed.

Every element of this property is designed for escape and celebration, perfectly matching the homeowners’ vibrant lifestyle. Whether for grand-scale events or intimate gatherings, the space offers two pools for watersports, a striking rock waterfall cascading into a bustling fishing pond, and a well-lit volleyball court. Add in firepits for deep conversations, a full outdoor kitchen, a sled hill, a secluded playground on synthetic turf, a majestic cedar tree fashioned into a natural umbrella, and a flowerbed exhibiting cherished river rocks engraved with beloved grandchildren’s names and you have a landscape well-crafted for both entertainment and relaxation on any scale.
And while the grandeur is obvious, it’s the details that make this space truly livable. The hard edges of the home are softened through plantings with natural flow, ornamental grasses, cascading perennials, and statement trees trained to frame key sightlines. Water features were strategically placed at both the front and rear of the home to maintain continuity and coolness throughout the site. Lighting was layered for every hour of the day—and every kind of gathering.

Maintaining a space like this requires more than a checklist. The sheer size of the site—nearly 30,000 square feet—demands detailed planning and flexibity, and ongoing collaboration. Because we installed this landscape, we know its bones and, because we’ve remained the caretakers, we know its rhythms.
A dedicated Property Care Manager and seasoned crew keep every feature functioning and every bed polished. Weekly walkthroughs, proactive irrigation management, and close communication with the homeowners (and their assistant) keep everything running as beautifully as it looks.
For a property of this scale and complexity, our goal is simple: ensure this family never has to leave home to find the best seat in the house.
